I’ll help you see what you can’t see on your own.

If you are reading this, you are likely navigating a difficult stretch of your journey. Whether you are arriving here as an individual or as a couple searching for therapy with a registered psychotherapist, I believe that the work we do is about meeting you exactly where you are and figuring out what comes next. It’s not about starting over.

At its heart, psychotherapy is a conversation that heals. It’s a dedicated time to think through your thoughts out loud and to truly feel your feelings in a space that is safe and grounded. We talk so that the “noise” can start to make sense, and so you can find the room to regulate and breathe again.

A direct & relational approach to healing that will challenge you.

I believe that our health and our struggles are deeply tied to the relationships we navigate every day. We do not live in isolation. My work with couples is a cornerstone of my practice, and it guides the work I do with individuals as well.

I focus on couples therapy, supporting those working through communication challenges, infidelity, or substance use. Whether you are both trying to heal from betrayal and resentment or looking for the tools to build a more satisfying relationship, we work together to untangle the dynamics. I also support couples through the process of respectfully parting ways when a partnership has reached its natural conclusion.

When we work one-on-one, this systemic lens brings a unique depth to my individual therapy. I consider not just your internal thoughts, but the interpersonal “system” you live within. This helps us look at how you connect with others, set healthy boundaries, and move through patterns of codependency.

Helping individuals and couples break unhealthy patterns and build stronger relationships.

My approach is heartfelt and deeply human, but I am also a direct partner in this work. I won’t just sit in silence, I will challenge you – not to control your direction, but to help you look at the patterns or the “stuck” places that are hard to see on your own. I believe that being honest and direct is a form of respect for your growth.

My own path to this work wasn’t a straight line. Before becoming a therapist, I was a singer-songwriter and navigated the manufacturing, insurance, and corporate worlds. These diverse roles taught me that our perceived “weaknesses” are often protective layers or hidden strengths waiting to be understood.

I know the courage it takes to pause and find your path when the way forward feels obscured. Through my time sitting with those at the end of life in hospice care, facilitating grief groups and facing my own personal losses, my purpose became clear; to walk with others through the raw, real moments of their lives.

I’ll help you find your next step, even when the way forward isn’t clear.

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t knowing that something isn’t working anymore. It’s knowing that and still not being sure what to do next.

You might find yourself having the same argument with your partner over and over again. Maybe you’re carrying resentment that has been building for years, trying to rebuild trust after a betrayal, or feeling disconnected from someone you deeply care about. Sometimes it’s not even a relationship that’s changed — it’s you. A career shift, becoming a parent, leaving home, navigating cultural expectations, or reaching a stage of life you thought would feel different can leave you feeling unsettled in ways that are difficult to put into words.

These are the kinds of conversations that draw me to this work.

I’ve always been interested in people, and the stories behind what they’re carrying. Across community mental health, schools, healthcare settings, and private practice, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through some of the most challenging and transformative periods of their lives. Again and again, I’ve seen how much courage it takes to ask for support, especially when you’re used to carrying things on your own. I work in both English and Tamil, and culturally responsive care is something I hold closely, not as an add-on, but as part of how I understand each person who sits with me.

Clients often describe me as warm, thoughtful, and easy to talk to. I balance compassion with honesty — I’ll sit with you in the difficult parts of your story, but I’m also not afraid to gently explore the patterns, beliefs, and relationship dynamics that may be keeping you stuck.

A space to make sense of what feels heavy, before you even know what to call it.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and conversational. I don’t expect people to arrive with perfect insight or a clear idea of what they need. Sometimes therapy begins with simply trying to make sense of why something feels so heavy, why a relationship feels different than it used to, or why a transition that looked exciting on paper feels harder than expected. That’s often where the most meaningful conversations begin.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you step into therapy. You are allowed to show up exactly as you are.

Often, the reasons we feel stuck or find change so difficult is because moving forward requires us to face uncertainty, discomfort, or fears we’ve been carrying for a long time. If you are someone who is incredibly hard on yourself, carries the weight of a thousand responsibilities, or is navigating a massive life transition, I want you to know something vital: you do not have to carry it all alone.

I don’t believe therapy is about “fixing” you because I don’t believe you are broken. Instead, it is a collaborative, system-informed space designed to help you understand yourself more deeply, explore what truly matters to you, and build practical tools to navigate life’s challenges.

Where Warmth Meets Practical Structure

Sitting across from me, you will experience a blend of relational warmth and practical structure. I am a deeply gentle and collaborative therapist, but I also believe in being real with you. This means we will gently name the patterns when they show up, helping you move toward the meaningful changes you want to make.

Because we are all deeply connected to our families, environments, and communities, we will look at your life through a systemic lens. We will respect how those external forces shape you, while firmly honoring your innate power to make new choices. You will leave our sessions feeling deeply heard and accepted, but also equipped with realistic, real-world tools you can use in your everyday life.

Unpacking the Patterns, Building the Tools

My fascination with people and their stories began when I was young, sitting with my grandmother and listening to older adults share their life experiences. That curiosity never left me. Before practicing as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in Ontario, I spent over 15 years practicing as a licensed psychologist in Brazil, working extensively with children, teens, and adults.

My journey has always been guided by a deep desire to understand human connection. Alongside my clinical work, I am a writer, a photographer, and a researcher. I hold a PhD in Child and Youth Studies and have spent years studying the profound bond between humans and animals.

My understanding of grief and attachment isn’t just academic—it’s personal. Navigating the profound loss of my own dog after 15 years together fundamentally shaped how I view bereavement. It taught me that relationships do not have to look a certain way to be deeply meaningful, and it inspired me to focus extensively on pet loss support—an often misunderstood form of grief that deserves a safe, sacred space to be processed.

Whether you are healing from trauma, managing a loud inner critic, navigating a loss, or trying to manage your anxiety, I am here to help you discover your path forward.

The coping mechanisms that once kept you safe might be the very things keeping you stuck today.

Sometimes we find ourselves stuck in habits and reactions that feel impossible to break. From a clinical perspective, these are often protective patterns that formed when you were in survival mode. They kept you safe once, but they remain active long after the threat has passed, limiting your present life. Shifting them takes time, intentional practice, and gradual nervous system regulation—which is exactly why change can feel so slow and difficult when you try to do it all alone.

You do not need to arrive in my room with everything sorted out. In our early sessions, my absolute priority is to ensure you feel deeply validated, seen, and understood. Long before your symptoms shift, I want you to feel a profound sense of relief, a reason for hope, and a clearer understanding of what is possible.

We will honor the protective parts of your past while building the modern tools you need for the present.

My approach is steady, warm, and relationally honest. I won’t just sit back and passively listen—I am an active participant in your healing. Together, we will collaboratively identify the internal strengths you already possess, practice new responses consistently, and help healthier behaviors become automatic.

Using a blend of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed parts work, and an attachment lens, we look at both the past and the present. I balance deep clinical attentiveness with a gentle humor that keeps our space human and grounded. We will honor the protective “parts” of your personality while building the modern tools you need to move toward a life of connection and ease.

From classrooms to major life pivots across borders, my journey has taught me exactly what it means to rebuild identity and reclaim your footing.

Growing up, I was always the natural listener for my family and friends, connecting deeply through quiet presence rather than small talk. My formal path to psychology was cemented when I stumbled upon a book of clinical case studies in school; seeing how a strong therapeutic alliance could help someone completely reclaim their life made me realize exactly who I wanted to be for others. I went on to earn my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and have spent over 5 years working across the mental health field.

While training as a clinician, I spent time working as a daycare teacher and a special needs shadow teacher. These roles made it profoundly clear how early childhood environments shape our adult inner worlds, showing me firsthand how small gestures of attuned care create radical psychological shifts.

On a personal level, the past few years have been a massive turning point for me. Becoming a mother, navigating life as a newcomer to Canada, and rediscovering my own identity in a completely new environment have radically deepened my empathy. I intimately understand the practical stress and vulnerability of feeling lost or unmoored during major life pivots, and I am honored to walk alongside you as you reclaim your footing.
